Rain and cool temperatures have prompted the state to announce an end to the wildfire season in Central Oregon.
It was officially over at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday.
With the end of the fire season, the ODF and local fire departments will start allowing open outside burning, although permits may be required and some restrictions may apply.
Deschutes County Rural Fire Protection District No. 2 plans to allow debris burning starting at sunrise Saturday. The district covers 252 square miles around Bend.
